Annual Renovation
★ The Board wishes to advise our annual renovation period commenced May 1st and will conclude October 31st. Don’t forget you will need to submit an Application Form and other supporting documentation for approval before you can proceed
★ We have an updated 2022 Renovation Application Form which can be downloaded from our website: golden-view-barbados.com and also available in the Golden View Office
★ We are asking for two chairs or a bench and coffee table from anyone doing renovations and are disposing of their furniture that would be willing to donate it to the upgrade of the Library
★ A new bike rack will be installed to the north of the building for those residents who require it
Electrical Upgrade Project
The newly elected Board at GV would like to ask for your patience in reporting on the Electrical Upgrade Project.
We have been busy catching the new Directors up with what has transpired so far, and eliminating options that we deem inappropriate for GV. We have been meeting extensively regarding the project, sometimes more than once a month and have included at times electrical consultants and contractors to assess and understand the technical issues and problems and to review the various options and quotes received.
The near term objective is to have a more refined design and review of all options before coming to a final decision. We believe we have a great team on board with the project.
Further information will be provided to the Body Corporate in the coming months on the proposed way forward and a time line for implementation and completion.
Again, thank you for your patience and understanding as we work on this very important project.
Plumbing Replacement Project
As you are aware Golden View’s plumbing is aged and we have used the opportunity each time there is a burst pipe to replace the aged pipes and install commercial shut off valves. These valves will allow greater control of the water supply should we need to isolate a section of the building to carry out repairs.
This is an ongoing process and we thank you for your patience during this exercise.
Housekeeping
Sani Services has been contracted to maintain the common areas of Golden View. They are on site from 8am - 4pm and clean the communal bathrooms on each floor, the lobby and walkways.
Onsite Management Team
The Board takes this opportunity to formally introduce the onsite management from Seaside Realty. Joining our Property Manager Ms. Michelle Straughan is Ms Castara Waterman. Ms. Malissa Morgan rounds off the team as the Administrative Assistant. You will see these faces around the property as they carry out their duties.
